THE DETAILS AND THEIR MEANING

On one side a wonderful sculpture of the Immaculate, carefully reproduced in each detail.

This work represents our Most Holy Mother Mary, whom the Church shows us as the Mother of Mercy and Refuge of Sinners. Our Heavenly Mother obtains for us the Grace of Penance.

On the reverse side, expressing the joy of Forgiveness, the beautiful reproduction in bas-relief of Rembrandt's "The Return of the Prodigal Son", dated 1668, and exhibited in the Hermitage Museum in Saint Petersburg.

In this image, the son makes the following plea: "Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son." But his father ordered his servants: "Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Take the fattened calf and slaughter it. Then let us celebrate with a feast, because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found." Luke 15:21,24
