In three small towns (villages) in China they have continued the tradition of hand carving bone and stone. Since these boxes take so long to make, each box takes a minimum of 12 hours, production of each piece is limited to 100 and will not be reproduced again. I like the bird bath top, the finish on the top is nice, However I am disappointed that the underneath side was not finished to the same level. I also expected it to be a little thicker so that it looked more like a concrete basin. But it’s a nice top for the price.
