In three small towns (villages) in China they have continued the tradition of hand carving bone and stone. Since these boxes take so long to make, each box takes a minimum of 12 hours, production of each piece is limited to 100 and will not be reproduced again. For over a decade, Jo Marz has combined unusual imported and domestic materials, semiprecious stones and unique findings to create highly collectible designs that are hand crafted by artisans. The cross is fine - what we were expecting. The customer service however was appalling. The order took several weeks longer than promised at ordering with virtually no communication from Kingdom High - even with repeated attempts to contact them via email and phone.
